And how the birth of my baby is the reason I can give back to you.

But once my baby girl was born, my life changed dramatically. Suddenly I didn’t have two hours to workout, I couldn’t just pop in and out and coach whatever classes I needed to coach all over town, and I definitely didn’t have time to plan out the training programs that I used to.
How was I supposed to get back to training? How was I going to continue to work with my community members I loved spending time with each and every day? And how in the world was I supposed to support my new family and be a role model of strength and success to my little girl?
So when the opportunity to run a bootcamp program came my way, I knew in my heart that this was IT. This was my ability to offer my training to others in a way that could help maximize their goals while doing so in a short amount of time. Because if I needed this, then I knew others needed it too.
This was my chance to give to others what I was struggling to find, all while being an example to my little girl.
- Who else is a busy parent?
- Who’s working 8+ hours a day and running a family?
- Who’s fixing dinners by 7, getting kids into baths by 8, packing lunches for the next day and trying to stay above water?
- Who wants to burn a little fat, build a little muscle, and feel a little more than awesome?
- Who’s struggling to feel fit while living life?
My bootcamp workouts are 45 minutes long and that includes a warm up, a strength exercise or two to help build lean muscle, and an interval style conditioning workout that burns fat. The 45 minute session burns a minimum of an extra 500+ calories per day. We offer 16 workouts a week, and will continue to build our schedule as we grow. And we’re much more affordable than your traditional functional fitness style facilities.
And what’s incredibly important to me is that we’re a community. Actually, we’re kind of more like a family that looks forward to hanging out with each other and we actually get along! I want my members to laugh. Have fun. Look forward to seeing each other. Experience positivity with each and every workout.
I want to reach people who are scared of fitness and people who’ve been working out for years. Every single workout is scaled to the participant’s ability–it’s what I’ve been doing for people for a decade now! I want to motivate those who are “out of practice” like I felt, and inspire new moms like myself to be strong, fit, happy, and healthy for themselves and their families. I want to bring StrongFigure to life. My programming, nutritional advice, positive family atmosphere–all come to life in Harrisonburg’s newest gym.
